OH my God the crowd all 6 were dancing and though I generally dont condone posting ones info here he put it up on You tube. Fair game in my opinion. So will intelligent lighting be courtesy of Spencers Gifts or some not controlled by the young wise one?

I agree and I have to give him credit for the unique and tedious construction.

Ah... the old RS console mixer. I sure remember that, lol. All unbalanced, scratchy and an overly hot output signal. DJed with that mixer for several years.

Come to think of it, this guy's setup ain't far from my original rig. Home stereo cabinets, receiver, home CD decks... all piled up on a table. He's doin' good ~ I didn't have the jerry-built truss. :D

The construction site halogen portables are a new one. They look better than coffee can PARS. The gels are a nice touch, too. I can imagine the pops in the sound when those 250 watt halogens are switched...

Actually - I commend the kid for trying and he seems to undertand the need to get better gear.

Incase you didn't know - this is art of a "small comunity"on YouTube run by a dj tutor.com. The leads are two guys - a club jock in the UK and a full-time mobile jock in WI.

Sometimes I question the gig-log idea, because you should be focusing on your clients durring the show - but still it's a great educational vehicle.

He did better than most of us on our first gig. I too commend the kid for trying, but his first order of business should be his audio equipment & worry about the lighting later.

I saw this kids "other" videos, seems like he likes to make "funny" videos so I'm not sure if his DJ GIG LOG is for real or just staged? If it is real, then he did good for a first gig. If it is fake, than he pulled everyone's leg.

Thanks Time for the info. Sometimes people are sheep and believe everything they see. My father told me along time ago. Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.

I hear He charged 4,000 for that show. Got to hand it to him (if it was real) to fill the floor and mix with that crap.

My first show, i had to use a 24 channel Peavey mark 4 for a mixer, Cuz the rental place didn't have anything smaller!!

My first show rocked, i rented everything i needed.....

Somebody send that kid an application for the WEDG!!!:sqbiggrin:
