OK, I do think this guy is critically overrated, but I do enjoy much of what he offers....
In no order:
1. Sunday Paper
2. I'm The Man
3. Memphis
and pretty much that whole swing CD he did.

That's because I love Swing music, old and new. More new than old, but it's all good.

I only saw it for sale in a Fred Meyer store never saw it before or since. I bought it and a few other swing albums. Have you got any Crescent City Maulers ( not sure of this name)
or Bill Elliot Band?

I like Joe, although I don't have the swing album -- and I'm a major swing fan :)
I've been diggin' to the Atomic Fireballs of lately -- they kick
My Mom was a big time swing dancer. Her and my Uncle would light up the floor (my Dad, and my Aunt didn't dance), so brother and sister rocked the house.
It was like Saturday Night Fever when they went out there

Yup. I first got Joe Jackson's Jumpin' Jive LP in the summer of 1983. Then got the CD. Last year I got the remastered CD. I love remastered CDs, and Jumpin' Jive sounds better than excellent.
So reap this righteous riff!
Oh yeah. I second "Breaking Us in Two."

Among many others. Joe is one of my favorite recording artists.
Also give props and kudos for his "Jumpin' Jive" recording, but like the liner notes say:
"Everyone should have a Louis Jordan record in their medicine cabinet" :)
And if you don't, shame on you...:sqmad::sqwink:

I saw Joe and the band here for their Night And Day Tour back in... '83 I think... Awesome show! I play bass and absolutely love his bassist Graham Maby. The album Look Sharp is genius. I'm going have to pull it out again and have a listen, the vinyl that is...
Great, it's 2:30 in the morning after my last Christmas gig and you guys have me watching youtube!
YouTube - Joe Jackson - I'm the Man (03.14.80)
I looked up this one too, by The Knack, live!
YouTube - The Knack - Good Girls Don't
The whole Get The Knack album is awesome! Here's another:

I didn't know the lead singer just had two brain tumors removed, apparently he's doing OK. I want to see them if they tour again. Their drummer died last year too.
