Just discovered this great song, anyone play this song at weddings? What about other Al Green songs?

My most requested Al Green song is - Let's Stay Together

Al Green makes great background music at all my events. I still have his Greatest Hits album in the car :)

yeah I love that song and play it a l,ot during dinner,,, once in awhile it will get requested for a slow dance...

Stick with "Let's Stay Together"........that is the only Al Green song you need to be concerned with.

although I used to play "L & H" for background music (1988 to 1993) and it just fell off my play list.

another great Al Green song is "Here I am Baby (Come and Take Me)".....which was covered by UB-40.

I love it - be careful playing it as background music as the swine sometimes start dancing to it....

Another good Al Green song is "Can't Get Next To You." It's a very cool slow groove. Plan on playing it this Friday at a wedding where they requested a lot of classic R&B. I think I will have it follow a slow song. It mixes well w/ Isaac Hayes's "Do Your Thing."

Al Green is MUST play stuff around here. He's from Memphis, afterall. His Church is less than a mile from where I'm sitting right now. The Rev. Green is a living legend.

Don't forget about Sam Cooke either...great background music as well!
