Just got home and I'm very tired...

We had a great show tonight lots of dancing...

I also broadcasted the show over shoutcast too.. hopefully some folks found us I know we had listeners in San Jose, CA; Chicago, IL; England, UK; New York, NY and other places I can't remember just now...

Thank you Toqer for letting me borrow your bandwidth I'll have to figure out how to do video next time so to everyone who listens and watches the 7bamboo stream I hope you enjoyed tonights audio program...

I have lots of photo's but they are all on the show PC because I was doing a slide show... as soon as I can clear the snow I'll unload and post some pics but it might be a day or so...

Everyone loved the slide show we got lots of compliments which tells me 1. I need to get a better camera and 2. I need a bigger LCD TV to display to the 20" was ok but would have been even better on a 42"...

Anyway good night all and Happy New Year!

Wow, we got like 12" of snow last night... I finally got my driveway plowed out and my equipment inside... so as soon as it warms up I'll post some gig pics.. albiet they wont be as impressive as Nexgens... but we had a good time too.

I'll see if I can work up a playlist as well....

Someone mentioned using Excel and coma deliminating the playlist files.... will this work with the history files as well and what about the reverse listing as mentioned in the tread about printing from VDJ?

I'll add just the best of them that I've sorted thru so far... sorry they aren't as impressive as Nexgens but we had largely an older group of people that would have responded better to the oldies, but the bride and groom wanted mostly Adult Contemporary music. Enjoy!

Almost forgot the system pic... not much to show though since I hide my rack under the table... for those that oppose sitting while DJ'n I had no choice the table was too low for me to stand and work...

Great show!

I've never heard of Owen Richards though - who is that???

Owen Richards is just an artist who has done Instramental remakes of those songs... the album is Candlelight - Owen Richards. I picked this up at Wal-Mart in what I call their mood music section usually located by the candles... oddly enough.....

For Example:

I Swear is an instramental version of Lonestar's I Swear

These are pretty well done... not some casio keyboard rendition or midi file.

the only problem that I had was with my wireless... so while they are good for karaoke.

getting to far away from the base is a problem I noticed little passing white noise interference sounds and also feedback issues even though I was at the other end of the room far from either speaker....

but that could have been due to a setting within the Patchmix software I think I had too much going into the aux bus which is where i add effects...

even though all I had there was eq...

this does also boost the gain which I think is where my problem may lay.

Ahh the learning curve....

my last gig before this one they worked perfectly but that time instead of using them with xlr i had used the 1/4" outs to line level in.... because I had needed 4 mics that time... so there's no comparison really.

Aw man, that's sweet. I love to see wedding pics with the B&G dancing and smiling. :)

I reckon you knew I was gonna say this... ;) but I'll say it anyhow ~ if you've got any kind of mic noise or feedback, it's gotta go. You've got to fix it. Mic ring is gonna shaft your business hard, trust me on this.

Reason I say this, many B&Gs are doing videography these days. As the old saying goes, the camera doesn't blink. The videographer's mic doesn't blink either. The last thing you want in them videos is your mic ringing or feeding back.

If I may be of help, feel free to PM me. I don't have all the answers... but we don't have mic ring either. :)

Fred that sounds like a good topic I'm going to start a new thread about mic gain structure and setup... ok

Looks like they had a great time bro. Truly weddings are the events I really like to do. I will bet you money you had a much funner time on your event than I had on mine. Maybe you didn't read my crying thread lol. Tons of people on the dance floor but I was truly pulling my hair out. I'm ready for the wedding season and it looks like you are to. :sqwink:

You did an excellent job, and I would be happy to recommend you!

This makes me feel good... I replied and thanked her and wished her a long and wonderful marriage... plus added my wedding wire link in hopes that she will review me there too....
