Yeah, I finally got around to putting the new computer together. Actually, I tore it apart, and remodeled it. :)

Got this new Acer, and only plugged it in to test Rockit 4 with Vista Home Premium Lager, but this will be my new development computer. So's, I needed dual DVI outs for video, which means I needed a humongous power supply to power the beast.

Because of the power draw, I will actually have to turn this thing off when not using, as it will run my electric bill through the roof :sqerr:

Here's what it looked like before:

Tools needed -- note the beer. This was not for personal pleasure, but to allow more moisture into the room, so as not to cause static discharge :)

Damn, ain't this just purty?

Hang on, another beer for static purposes, then we'll put this big ol' video card in (which wasted all my other slots)...

I'll get some more pics when I get the new monitors up -- two 22"'s. This will build Rockit 4.1 :)

Damn thing almost knocked out the halides when I plugged it in :sqerr:

Nice video, but one heck of a power draw...

Keep in mind, when you get your kid that high tech computer, with a 1000 watt power supply, and super duper video card so he/she can play games -- yer electric bill is gonna shoot up :sqeek:

Lite beer? :sqerr: My whole concept of you has been deflated.

Wait, I think I understand, lite beer instead of drinking water, whiskey when you're serious about getting a buzz on.

Hell, my VIDEO card REQUIRES 500 watts.... God help me. I guess those "green" folks would hate me.

I probably should be running a minimum of 800 watts but it seems stable with 560 watts.... I'm running an 8500 series video card but only in VGA and S-Video/HD not the DVI modes ... yet.

I guess those "green" folks would hate me.

You should see the look of hate in their eyes when I either turn on one of my hot rods or drive by them :D:D:D:D:D:D
