Papa Deuce 01-06-2008, 02:21 AM take your ipod, zune, itunes.... whatever you have that plays songs randomly; it doesn't matter what.
The FIRST 5 that play, you must post them here, regardless of how sappy, intelligent, cheesey..... they are. And then tell us why they are in your collection other than the fact that you are a "DJ".
My iPod is on charge, but I'll post my 5 as soon as I can.
Fred Stewart 01-06-2008, 02:24 AM I will have to bow out, my friend. We don't have any of those gadgets around the Den.
Carry on. :)
Papa Deuce 01-06-2008, 02:35 AM 1. Drift Away - Dobie Gray..... I'm a 70's music nut. Have never played it at an event and probably never will, but I always have a great time listening to it.
2. Fooled Around And Fell in Love - Elvin Bishop.... sort of the same as above, but the actual song rings true for me.
3. Make a Good Gumbo - Tab Benoit and Amanda Shaw..... cajun music. My family and I saw an IMAX movie about Hurricane Katrina. They sold this CD in the store as you left the theater. I love Cajun music.
4.Sexbomb - Tom Jones.... probably because I think Tom Jones is one of the coolest dudes in music. It is 2008 and this cat still wears a leisure suit!
5. Hey Mister! ( She Was My Baby Last Night ) - Candye Kane ..... A swing song. A fun song. A song about lesbian lovers. What more can ya ask for?
Jon Tuck 01-06-2008, 03:59 AM 1.Bullet For My Valentine -40 Yrs Today (Pantera sounding metal group form Europe Nice energy stuff like I like it.)
2.Drowning Pool- Rebel Yell ( Yeah their current release with the new singer which the album is nearly as good as the first release)
3.Body Count -Cop Killer ( No lead in for This One I Love Body Count and Ice T)
4.Trivium-Entrance to The Castle ( Another Euro Speed Metal group who covers Metallica deadly)
5. HBlockx-Time To Move ( These guys were around from late 80's through late 90's but never really made it bigtime. They sound like The Beatie Boysd Meet The Red Hot Chili Pepper. I like each album as they are diverse through the ages)
HAHA what comes up next just to show you I have one normal cell
CCR-Bad Moon Rising
Papa Deuce 01-06-2008, 05:10 PM You guys are no fun. I'm doing this on a non DJ board and we already have close to 50 responses....:sqwink:

SoftJock Rick 01-06-2008, 06:00 PM I've got mine running now -- give me a few, I'm only on song two :)
SoftJock Rick 01-06-2008, 06:21 PM Ok, here's mine.
In The Summertime - Shaggy
River Of Dreams - Glenn Frey
Dixie - Black Oak Arkansas
So In To You - Atlanta Rhythm Section
You've Got A Friend - Carole King
Apparently, my software knows my tastes...
SoftJock Rick 01-06-2008, 06:44 PM Oops, just re-read the kids first post, and I'm supposed to say why they are in my collection.
Well, 'cause I like 'em :)
Nothing goes into the collection that I don't like -- whether playing out live, or at home.
YouTube - I've got the music in me
DJ Ronster 01-07-2008, 01:05 AM I'll bite. I've got my 30 gig Zune right here, so I'll hit random and see what comes up.....
Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake - I've always been madly in love with Sheryl. I have all her music.
The Surfaris - Wipe Out - Classic beach song - one of my favs
Styx - Castle Walls - My favorite group of all time! This is a track off The Grand Illusion album. Very haunting melody and a simple yet enjoyable bass guitar beat
Styx - Show Me The Way (it's on random, I swear!)
T-Pain - I'm Sprung - No particular reason for this one. Just a kinda laid back beat and who doesn't love T-Pain? :sqcool:
