When I say "Vox"
What do you think of?
Please don't look it up.
It's actually better (for me) if you don't know it :D

I believe the term means voice or vocal in sound reproduction. It may have roots in Latin but I'm not certain of that.
Magnavox got their start building those horn-type speakers for radio. The name signifies "magnificient voice".

Voice Over Credits or Voice Over Effects
At least those are the terms we use here at the TV station.

I think Latin word for voice... I frequently use that in nicknames for myself, as well as the term Vox Populi...voice of the people.

Voice. In the intercom world you'll occasionally see a "VOX" setting which means the unit will open the mic with a preset gated response to your voice.

Thanks for that
The reason, is "Vox" isnt my whole name, but it is half
Perhaps the other word would signify something other than voice.
Half of everyone I have talked to, has no idea what it means
But the other half (ODJT) does, but that is to be expected since you are all audio pros.
VOXDISC
Sound catchy?:sqlaugh:

Vox Vodka
a totally valid answer!
I wikipedia-ed "vox" a week ago, and thought it was very interesting.
If vodka could make it with a "voice-like" name, surely this company can.
Thank you Amber!

Heck, it just gets better. If you think 30s is good, just wait. 40s is even better yet. :)
