I finished my second DMX conversion tonight. The first light was a ADJ Starball, this one was my ADJ Flash Duo. I took several pictures and posted everything to a quick webpage.

I got the boards on eBay from this seller.

Looks very cool.... Does it just turn it on and off??? A bit pricey though... isnt it...

Seems like a very expensive and tedious process.
I guess if you like the light and run dmx it's worth it.
Again, my thoughts are cost effectiveness. a DMX Relay pack is $75 These parts are $60. I can't see paying the $165 difference to not have to deal with a relay pack.
It was very cool to see that this can be done. It may be something to think about for people that run Martin Rapors or T-Rex that only use the 1 non-dmx light.

I like it and you did a clean job of conversion...
...but I have to agree with Cam. I might be missing the point, but with a $75 DMX pack, you still have three more fixtures that you can power this way. I'm not knocking you (I wish I was that talented), but what have I missed?
I run my lights with a DMX board. It only turns it off and on. No it is not a cost factor, I have 5-6 4 channel DMX dimmer/relay packs, well selling them now. It is a ease of setup factor. I can tie all the lights to constant power which is pre-wired in my truss. I don't have to carry around the mutliple Dimmer packs now, and it makes setup and tear down faster, and to me saving time over and over is more important than the cost of the conversion one time.

I wish I was but looks like I won't be making it. I am actually hoping to have a reception job on Thursday Feb 14th, they still haven't definately selected the DJ yet....:sqfrown:
