burning an avi. to DVD for regular DVD players?

MY buddy wants to know which software program(s) can do this? ( so he can watch ( what was ) the avi on his TV )

He can't seem to do it in Nero.

ConvertXtoDVD has to be the best.... an awesome piece of software...

***Sometimes, Ulead makes things more complicated than you want. Sure you can edit, but I had a hard time using VideoStudio 11.

ConvertXtoDVD wont edit, but what it does, it does well!!!

The guy I am trying to help can't seem to make it work on Nero, and this is a guy who is truly "techie", so I don't get it either.... I don't have Nero, so I don't know how to help him. He did say that his Nero version is 3 - 4 years old.

I have Nero too... but everytime I try it, it tells me I need to buy a MPEG license to use it...

I'm using Nero 8 it seems to burn everything with no problems saying I need to buy anything extra. Your friend needs to get updated and also needs the codex
