About 5 days before Saturday's event (company Holiday party) we were informed that they will be doing "Let's Make A Deal".:sqeek:
Now, we don't do a lot of "non-wedding" events and don't have a lot of experience with all this "game" and "interaction" stuff that a lot of you are used to.
Of course the first thing that I do is pull out all the CDs that I have that have "TV" Theme songs on them. You know what I'm talking about.:sqwink: And of course we do have the needed them music for their game.
I also made sure I had some "cheesy" sound effects, like "clapping" "loud buzzer" "aaawwww" "rim shot" and numerous others.
We basically winged it and it went off really well. One of the managers at this company, Russ was "Monty" and his Fiance was the "Gift-girl" and of course I was the "cheesy announcer"......
God we had fun. During the interludes, or while we were waiting for someone to come up from the back of the room, or even while Russ downed a shooter....I would fill in with off-beat TV theme songs.
The crowd really got a kick out of it and were absolutely having a blast with it. Russ and I used to work together and he has a great sense of humor so he and I were able to bounce off on another like we had everything planned out, which we didn't.
It was nice to stretch out of my normal routine and do something "completely different", at least for me.
(Oh yeah, we booked Russ and his Fiancee's wedding this summer also!)
