How hard would this be to do?

I want to design a post card that uses 3 or 4 different images that are "stitched" together to make one picture that will cover the whole front of a 5" x 7" postcard. Then I'll just add the words, upload to winkflash, and have them make the postcards.

Generally speaking, not much of an issue at all. The final result is largely a factor of the photos you start with; if they can be stitched or merged smoothly.

I should have elaborated... Does it make a difference if all the resolutions are different?

Not particularly; as long as the native resolution is high enough to get a decent print. They don't have to be identical to merge. They can be resized as necessary during the process.

BTW print resolution is at 300dpi. If you have a rather large photo, it may be safe to say it'll work!

Papa - It's all about how the edges of the picture match up... Essentially you need to create a smooth segue between the two photos just like you do with songs. Except instead of using pitch and eq, you'll use smearing, and color gradients.

anybody who is decent in photoshop will be able to do what PeteT is saying too.

Thanks Pete... I understand what you mean.... now hopefully my web guy is.... in fact, I am sure he is. If not photoshop, then whatever program he is best at using. He just bought some $600 photoshop bundle, or something like that.

Check out a program called Photostitch. This is a stitched composite of four separate shots:

The tell tale signs are the ceiling grids. Couldn't get them perfect.

Cap there is Panarama software that does that you know

papa what in a way software do you need to do a Collage type one or one like Cap is explaining ??

Dennis, I was just going to blur the faces of some kids so that I could make a nice postcard that would show what a Bubble Party is like... but now I have a pretty good variety of photos, so I am fine. Thanks!

My nephew just graduated from high school at ISD (Indiana School for the Deaf).

I took six pictures and let my Canon software do the rest. It came out perfect!
