With the advancemnet in cell phone technology. I would like to but a website specific to my karaoke book, where singers can bring up the site on their phone and send me their request via the web.

It would have to have some features as creating a login so it would keep track of past songs they have sang, as well as a 2 request max.

Anyone have any idea how this can be done?

Right off the top of my head I don't know of any apps that would allow cell phone users to do this....

But with a FE terminal singers could basically do this and the history would be maintained by the host computer.... (ie Autokdj and its FE)

I also know that Rick's Rockit program does something like this but only plays regular music and doesn't do karaoke.... nor does it provide a login to tell you who has made the request nor keeps track of said person.

Not much help I know... but at least food for thought.

Ya, easy with autokdj and a laptop...

Step 1, go to dyndns.org and register for a dyndns address.

Step 2, get cell phone internet, or forward port 80 on your router to your laptop

Step 3, tell your users to connect to your dyndns name.

Step 4, there is no step 4.

ExWeedfarmer has written and uses a Kiosk program/system. I don't know if it's web or LAN based though. If it IS web based, I can't see why it couldn't be adapted to cell use....

OOPS! I think I said a computer thingy!
