RIAA Now Considers Remembering A Song in Your Brain a Copyright ViolationHarryoke 01-24-2008, 03:32 PM http://www.newstarget.com:80/022437.html :sqlaugh::sqerr::sqwink: DougF 01-24-2008, 04:47 PM These people REALLY need a Reality Check! DJ SVO 01-24-2008, 04:53 PM The DSM-IVR is obsolete, these guys need a book because they really have a very serious mental issue. Jon Tuck 01-24-2008, 05:13 PM Bravo so what is being said once all are imprisoned the only music source viable fo sale will be virtual. Then Napster will re-emerge from its ashes and become the mighty music power. Shawn Fanning will rise again and be considered the Anti Christ. Ron Auger 01-24-2008, 05:35 PM Does that mean when I look at naked women I am illegally transporting porn?:sqeek: Oh, am I going to be in trouble in Vegas!:sqerr: SoftJock Rick 01-24-2008, 05:46 PM To aid in these memory wiping efforts, the RIAA is teaming up with Big Pharma to include free psychotropic prescription drugs with the purchase of new music albums. Consumers are advised to swallow the pills before listening to the music. Hey wait just a second here!!! I pioneered that concept with software years ago. I'm gonna sue them bastards :sqmad: :sqlaugh: Proformance 01-24-2008, 06:52 PM Lucky for me I don't have that much RAM. mysoulishome 01-24-2008, 09:46 PM I had this same idea last year. The brain is like a hard drive, therefore anyone with a good memory is making illegal copies of hundreds of songs! Jon Tuck 01-24-2008, 11:31 PM so would one with a photographic memory aka Lossless memory be liable for a bigger Sentence? Proformance 01-25-2008, 01:59 AM I think the damages would be pro-rated based on the sampling rate. There's just so much to think about. Does the 7 second rule for samples also apply to intermittent humming? If I'm whistling, and there's no one around to hear it - am I making a sound? If I'm convicted, and later suffer from amnesia can I appeal? DJ SVO 01-25-2008, 02:59 AM I'm screwed :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D WaydeWest 01-25-2008, 12:10 PM It was a tough decision, but as a responsible American I had no choice. I just turned my son into the authorities for singing the Barney song out load. :sqerr::sqwink::sqlaugh: Brian Martin 01-25-2008, 11:09 PM When you remember a song and store it in your brain for recall later on, you are changing the format of the song to an sib. format (stored in brain). It is just like ripping a cd for later use. And if you recall the song at some point and sing it and someone hears it, you are guilty of unauthorized distribution. mysoulishome 01-26-2008, 03:00 PM We are a bunch of comedic geniuses all around. lol Fred Stewart 01-26-2008, 06:11 PM So that's what happened to the Vulcan mind meld... Spock was nailed for file sharing. :D SoftJock Rick 01-26-2008, 06:14 PM So that's what happened to the Vulcan mind meld... Spock was nailed for file sharing. :D Live long, and litigate... :) | |
