My Corp Gig Last Night........ 1/23/08

I had a gig for Azur Pharma Inc last night @ the Fairmont Kea Lani Resort.. 36 people for a 5 hour gig...

6-7pm cocktails and pupus....
7-8pm dinner
8 - 8:30 awards
8:30 - 11pm dancing

It was a very fun group and when I saw that I had 2 1/2 hours of dance time with that small of a group, I was kinda dreading it,,, but it was their last night party and they came to party!!!

The highlight was after the awards, the 3 bosses said that now they have a "gift for everyone.... hit it DJ!" and I played the Chicken Dance... they started doing it then went out and grabbed people and that is how the floor opened up!

I got a $100.00 tip.... yep,,, cool beans!!!

Did I see a pic of another system of yours minus the Bose? And did you say that system was your main system? If so, how come your Bose is not your main?

Ron,, I do have another system for outside.... it's my main outside system :)

I don't use the BOSE outside.... just personal, if I didn't have the Techno-Mad system, I would use the BOSE.....

In you rack in one of the pictures down a bit in the array, is the equipment you have in the rack, specific to the Bose, or does the Bose use regular Mixers. CD Players processors, etc.......??

Jim,,,, My rack is my rack,,, and I use it no matter what speaker system I use..... With the BOSE the outs go right to the BOSE, with the Techno-Mads, the outs got to two QSC 3402's,,, then the speakers....

Chuck just an idea.What if you make two smaller racks?One when you are out with Bose and in another separate rack you put the Amps and take it only if needed.Its lighter to transport and to carrie around.Just an idea to save youre back.

Marco.... I have thought of that, but my tall rolling coffin is so easy to use,,,, rolls in, rolls out... I have a ramp for the van... and there is only one amp in the coffin,,, I do have a second in the van in a SKB case that I use as a back up, or when I want extra bass and put one amp on the subs, and one on the tops...

Sorry Chuck i didnt know that you have a Van with Ramp.I alwis loock from my aspect that i must put all the gear in a car.

By ramp I'm assuming its on your van, I have ramp on my trailer.Saves the back........

It's not conected to the van... but it stays in the van... I do use it sometimes to take into rooms where the stage is high, or if I need to span some stairs.... :)
