Need help finding discs

I've got myself into a bit of a minor bind.

There are several songs from the Dangerous cdg set that are not available on any other set. However, the company is long since defunct so i went to try and buy a set second hand from ebay.. Unfortunately, it was a bogus/pirated set. Ebay is trying to get me my money back..

In the mean time, I've taken the set out of my collection and now have 30 books that are 11 discs short.

If anyone comes across a dj who has a complete set and wants to retire, please email me at jclaydon@shaw.ca

I'm not exactly made of money but I'm certainly willing to keep an open mind.. Anything price offered has to be cheaper than reprinting 30 90 page books.. *lol*

thanks

-James

Just be glad you book isn't 345 pages like mine. I may know someone with that set I'll look into it. It's not a set I own. There are a few songs on there that are not on any other maufacture but I think the quality is a D at best.

I have both the Dangerous AND KJ Tools ORIGINAL sets. I actually bought the KJ Tools where they were made - ( toured the facility).

Unfortunately, virtually EVERY set of these available today is a pirated copy- some better than others.

Ya I found that out the hard way! :sqfrown: I am usually very good at spotting fakes/pirated stuff but my downfall was that I didn't know that the original Dangerous discs had a black background with flames on it.

If i had known that then I would have immediately known my set was pirated because the picture on the website was a gold disc with red ink stamped "made in Canada" on it.

i've NEVER seen anyone with an original set of KJ tools.. those are probaby worth twice their weight in platinum by now *platinum is more expansive than gold by a large factor*

But the downside for me is you look like you're in the prime of your karaoke years and won't be retiring any time soon..

Well, all the exact same track versions are part of the SuperCore series, so technically it's still available. Now find me a full set of DK01-99 originals.....

The set that you have is so widely distributed that many believe they ARE the originals. The #1 pirate set out there...

You can find them on ebay all the time for about $1000.

I bought mine off ebay about 7 years ago for $400
