I don't have mine set up to attach to my truss, but I have it on a separate "T-bar". Let me look around and see if I can find a picture of how we did ours. It may help, then again it might not.
Give me some time and I'll check into it.

What are you trying to light it with?
I was looking at the same thing but found when I did mount the mirror ball out in front of the truss there was no way to light it with anything on the truss. I have my mirror ball on the lower front bar and light it with two Martin SCX-500s.
But if you want to try something. The way I mounted the the 3 ft bar to the truss (mine is triangle truss, should work the same with box truss, but not I Truss). First I driiled out a hole on the MB motor to put an O-clamp, the on one end of the 3 ft bar I drilled a holed and mounted an O-clamp with the nut inside the tube. I ran the 3 ft tube on top of the truss and attached the "tube end" O-clamp to the back of the truss and let the 3 ft truss bar rest on the lower front of the truss. It was at a slight angle but didn't matter. I could have leveled it out but once it was mounted and I decided I was going to need other lights mounted in front of the main truss I scrapped the idea. But I guess I could use a setup like this for the two pin spots to light the mirror ball mounted on the main truss. Hope this makes sense, I have no pictures.
but it was something like this.
The O's are the truss tubes the ( ) the O-clamp and the =======the 3 ft bar

It can be achieved with an I beam truss too.....just have to use a counter-weight on the backside. I used it for many years.

I used heavy duty pvc pipe (painted black).
Excellent counter weight that can be used are the window weights that are used in the old style windows. Heat up one end of the pvc piping so that is will stretch enough to insert the counter weight, once it cools, it will not come out.
