Interesting spot for the DJ Scans!
I'd get them up much higher, but that's just me.

I love the middle schools.... Its so easy to do... the kids make you a request sheet to last for days, and You only play for an hour and a half.... I love doing the one school I have...

Scott- I liked the position, because it looked good. Typically, i would have them higher, but they couldn't go up much higher because of the speaker and the mirror extension so for this event i set them on a large area program and they flew all around the room and covered it well. At a gig with at least a T or truss, yes i'd put them higher.

Thanks Travis

And actually JK, i didnt have any requests, they danced the whole time and i think i hit the better part of the requests they had.

Carolina I guess to clarify what I think the question was. Why did you not use a truss or T stand? seems like the lights would get lost in some extent in the first row of the crowd. Not to harsh on you. Just curious.

I didn't really use a light show at all, and didnt see the need to set up a truss for an event that was in the middle of the afternoon in a room with 20 8' tall glass windows. I had the scanners and the vue in the truck and decided to use them. The lights didn't get lost in the front row of the crowd, however, they have a built in setting for both compact and wide shows. When set on the wide program they covered the ceiling, walls and through the crowd as well.
