My new game at my bars want to play?

The Game is called wall of Sound.

I have a ton of new bar interactive games I will be commenting on in the days to come.

Wall of sound is played by the whole bar (anyone that want to participate.)

I play the clip once. Wait about 2 singers then play the clip again. ask them to think about it then play it one final time. The person with the most correct gets a free drink. Last night someone got 5 out of 8. I ask for artist and song title.

It only takes a few min to record the clips. I use like songs like all one type. Rock, Alternative, top 40, 80's or rap.

I want to know when you're gonna have a shortest skirt contest at your bar, similar to the one in the "Who Stole My Bass?" thread........LOL

Cam - a variation of the game you listed that you may want to try is one I used to do all the time. I took "snippets" from different TV shows of yesteryear and strung them together in a 1 minute clip. It needs about as much "set-up" as your game, and the tunes from those shows are extremely recognizable. I called it "TV Trivia"

Being that they were all "recognizable", there was always a winner. Every time I played the game, the bar always seemed to do more business. It wound up becoming a regularly requested game by both patrons and bar staff.

Just my thoughts.

Response was very good. 20 people attemped to guess The winner tonight had 3 Correct songs. 10 had none correct but attempted to guess. 4 had artist correct. 6 people had 1 song right, 1 person 2 correct, and winner 3 correct.

My crowd likes anything that is for a free drink. A Bottle Beer is $3.50 here.

It's not something I will do every week but it's in my bag of tricks now. The crowds are completely different 4 night a week so so I can use eack one 4 times and archive them.

You know the local Country station does a game like this but they usually only layer about 3 songs together and you are to guess the main song.... so what they do is mix the other two songs just a little bit below the song you are suppose to guess..... of course they totally give it away but it can be tough until they drop hints like "could that be Josh Gorban..." It's usually the chart flavor of the week.... or day.

Someone had 3 out of 8 tonight. Again the loved it.

We also played Vodka or water. Tell you that one later. I'm thinking about writing a bar games book for dj's.

Most of the games I've seen have to be used with extreme descretion because they are very adult in nature.

the last one was for a new year's party.. The DJ got two guys to volunteer and sit on a stool.. There task was to peel a bannana and put a condom on it WITHOUT using both hands.. I was a little embarassed, but I have to admit it was funny to watch..


The other one i've seen used is if somone is having a birthday.. You get the birthday person to sit on a chair and ask for a volunteer of the opposite sex, then you place a shot of either a blowjob or a orgasm between the legs of the person sitting on the chair, and tell the volunteer that they have to drink the shot with both hands clasped behind their back. This one usually gets quite a few laughs too..


The one that i personally use is very simple.. I don't have a better name for it, so I just call it "Stump the KJ".. Basically one person picks an era or song genre.. Then someone else goes thru my collection of music and yells out a
song title. That's the song that I then have to sing.

Then my panel of volunteers will vote on weather or not they think I did the song properly.. If I win, everyone participating gets a token prize.. If i lose, the whole bar gets a free shot.

I don't lose very often, but it has happened.
