Does anyone have recommendations on a song for a bride to dance with her brothers? Thanks for any help.

My wife is very close with her brother and they had a special dance together at our wedding...but I can't remember the song she choose...I think it was Barry Manilow...I'll have to ask her in the morning or watch our wedding video.

Answer
Dear Jamie,
You are not alone in this situation. I have been approached with similar inquirires many times. Some of my favorites for brother/sister songs are

"It Had To Be You" Harry Connick from the movie Sleepless in Seattle
"Through The Years" Kenny Rogers
"What A Wonderful World" Louis Armstrong.

The words are appropriate in each of the above and work very well. Sorry I did not get back to you sooner but I have been in corporate meetings all morning. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me with any questions at my email

All Of My Sisters Are Girls - Waylon Jennings

All of my sisters are girls
With long hair ponytails, pigtails and curls
A kid needs a friend so why in the world
Did all of my sisters just have to be girls?

They giggle and whisper a lot
They act like they're grown up but I know they're not
They can climb a tree and they can't catch a ball
They're really no fun at all.

All of my sisters are girls
With long hair ponytails, pigtails and curls
A kid needs a friend so why in the world
Did all of my sisters just have to be girls?

When I'm bored with nothing to do
I can have fun whenever I want to
I just hide in the closet so they won't know I'm there
And they're really easy to scare.

All of my sisters are girls
With long hair ponytails, pigtails and curls
A kid needs a friend so why in the world
Did all of my sisters just have to be girls?

--- Instrumental ---

All of my sisters are girls
With long hair ponytails, pigtails and curls
A kid needs a friend so why in the world
Did all of my sisters just have to be girls?...

Why Don't We Get Drunk And...... or I Loved Her First

would be great music selections, if the wedding was in the deep south.

You people are really sick!!!

Got to love this board & the friends!!!

Well I have, and I'm not sure your heart could take it. Has the doctor cleared you for laughing til you pee your pants yet? Because if not you better keep your relationship with him a cyber one.

(I'll be good now, Barry. I promise.)

Sure do Jeff, it's on:

Cowboys, Sisters, Rascals & Dirt

It was a recording that he did quite some time ago aimed more at kids, but don't let that scare you away. I bought this when Bryce was just a little one, to give me a break from the Barney, Sharon, Lois & Bram, Sesame Street Music, etc. and quite like this recording.

Hope that helps...
