A challenge for Tyrone and Rick!

I know barely enough DMX to link up my lights and program some scenes, but had a thought that HAS to be possible (just not by me - ever)

Why can't this happen?

You write a program that allows people to type in the make and model of all their DMX units and a specific song. Once loaded the software will automically controll your lights in a preset pattern perfectly to the beat of that specific song....or you put a specific song's program on a disc that you sell for $20 and when put into your lappy or a CD drive on the front of your DMX controller if runs the lighting scheme in synch with the song.

Is this possible? Being done already?

...already available. Pretty much all of the software programs allow music ques for your lighting, based from the notes from your music... down to a fraction of a second. Ben is the expert on this, and I will be taking lessons from him as soon as he's able to get a few hours off.
