I thought we mellowed? :sqembarrassed: I think yer all just grumpy 'cause yer stuck with sunny warm California whether while we get to experience wind chill below zero, snow, and wind........wait......that's not right...um, never mind...:sqerr:

Anyway, sorry for the heat, Carolyn. Where the heck is that Xanax......

BTW, Joker- long as you're here: My brother wants to get a hold of regular CD (non-CD+G) ripping software for backing up his collection. Just for home use. He's a provisions broker. Anyway, looking for your PC head expertise. Recommendations? He swears there are freebies on line, but I can't find them. I'm sticking to Goldenhawk, but I think it's overkill for him. He's just looking to rip from CDs. No downloads. He'd like it to be compatable with the regular Windows XP media player, or even Napster. Whatcha think?

Yeah audiograbber.... goto www.filehippo.com and search for it.... you'll also need to get ahold of a mp3 encoder such as lame.dll search for that asa well at filehippo.com.... he can use windows media player or even itunes for that matter to rip to mp3.

Here's audiograbber... http://www.filehippo.com/download_audiograbber/

Here's the Lame encoder http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm

Put that in the Audiograbber main directory and select it as an external codec and he's all set.

He says he's running into trouble with it- I haven't been there to investigate it yet....
