I just used CS2 and saved it as an animated gif file. What would Image Ready do for it? I do have the program.

Rob, now you're going to have to get that site of yours updated. The pretty cool intro and then a subtle, cloudy website. It just doesn't fit. I saw your post about struggling to get better paying gigs....I really think you get that site of yours tweaked out and you'll reap the reward.

A big thing for me would be to get it off of yahoo and get rid of the ads....it cheapens your image. I spend $3.99 a month at GoDaddy for my hosting and it does me well. Then, you can work on look and professional feel. I'd be happy to help you out.

There is also a local company here in Indiana, and I'm sure they will give you a good deal on hosting!

my problem with switching is I'd have to learn more difficult web designing programs such as Dreamweaver.... I'm learning it but it's a steeeeeeeeeeeeep learning curve....

I use Sitebuilder from yahoo that is basically drag and drop... but I feel I am outgrowing it...

I definately don't have the dollars to have my site designed by someone... color me a cheap dj if ya like but the dollars still wont be there...

I'll checkout godaddy though anyway...

Cool.... that'd be nice

and perhaps the border since it has that neon filament feel.

or make the red in your designed logo flash but take the blue middle out leaving it white and your blue border could be more like a neon sort of like the Open Neon signs prevalent in many storefronts.

I like that concept (did you think I wouldn't ;))! Although, I don't care for the guy just 'hanging' in the air....I think it needs to be anchored with a black bottom.

The white at the bottom of your guy is due to a box outline that you have on your image Rob. If you tak that off, the body blends right into the bottom black page. And, the image needs to be redone to center it more -- notice the shoulders. (You may have cropped him a little to much on the left side.)

Also, I think you should pull your left hand text below your 'Total Impact' header -- let it stand up there by itself and not compete with a 'Welcome....' message.

Also (I really hope you don't want to kill me by now), are you really set on the buttons for links? They really don't fit with the page style and again, they compete with your other graphics. (Make an impact with Total Impact is what I think I'm trying to say!)

One more opinion (tell me to shove it if you want), if you're going to have a background, at lease make your text boxes have a solid background. I hate trying to read text with an image in the background.

The photo croping is due to the original... closeup shot of me I might be able to draw my shoulder in by hand but frankly my hands shake to much for free hand drawings... but I give it a shot and if I can't get it right I'll try another photo...

No I'm not a fan of them either I may have to break down and design my own set of buttons but there is a chrome set I might try...

That makes sense and if I do use a solid background for the text then I will definately need to make my profile shadow smaller..... I think right now it's a little disproportionate to the page... and over takes it while hiding my message

I appreciate all the tips.... I'll get working on them tommorow when I have some time.... right now the two crucial ones I think are the size of my siloette and text locations.

I wonder if I made him into more of an icon size say 200x200 and put him at the top with a black banner below that would leave room to the right for say a photo montage....

I think you're dead on about the size of the guy and the photo montage idea is a good one. I use it and get lots of compliments about having it. People love to see parties you've done and what the guest are doing in them.

Keep pluggin' away and you'll get there.

I knew that, but I was considering some sort of music on my site but if I do that it will be included with a photo montage.... I was LMFAO at your musical suggestions tho

My next project after I get my site in order will be a photo montage... tell me a little bit about this divix stuff... is it easy to do and what do I need for software to do a simple photo montage and video later on too....

Rob - I've been keeping an eye out on your continued tweaking of your website. I know you're still hampered by you current provider, but your site looks much better. I also know once you get the hang of dreamweaver and get yourself a different host, that you'll be able to create something even better. Good job, my friend!!
