PC's Sold As VISTA READY Now a Class Action SuitDougF 02-23-2008, 04:29 PM 'Vista Capable' lawsuit against Microsoft now a class action http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/352442_vista23.html SoftJock Rick 02-23-2008, 04:34 PM Ah cool, now we can stereotype the anti-Vista whiners  :sqwink: AKA -- those who don't know how to use a modern OS, and also sue Mickey D's for hot coffee :) DJ Dan 02-23-2008, 05:20 PM Personally, I don't notice much difference between XP & Vista on my new machine. XP is a little more spunky (that's a technical term by the way) but Vista's extra eye candy makes up for that little hit on resources, for me anyhow. ^This is coming from a guy who just reinstalled Vista this morning because there was no driver available for my DVD-RW drive under XP. :sqmad: In my humble opinion the people have to pretty stupid to "listen" to the little sticker on the box. That's like expecting to get the MPG on the sticker of a car in the real world; It just ain't happening. Tech writers were griping about the specs need to run Vista way before it was released, a simple Google would've pointed them in the right direction instead of listening to a sticker or salesman who just wants his commission so he can put Christmas dinner on the table. Brian 02-23-2008, 06:12 PM Thats pretty crazy, I never would have guessed, but as successful as Microsoft is, I'm sure they are put under a microscope about everything. My school is almost 2 years old, and every one of their hundreds of HP computers all say Vista Capable. SoftJock Rick 02-23-2008, 06:40 PM I've got almost all my machines switched to Vista now (even the old ones). I can say, it was no more difficult than the switch from 2k to XP. Vista's faster than XP, as well. You just need to tweak it, like we did with XP. YMMV, but quite frankly, I think it's just a phase... ;) BTW, it blows the doors off the Unix variants :) DougF 02-23-2008, 07:40 PM The sad thing is there are people out there when it comes to computers who ARE that stupid. I know I see enough of that at work. Some people should just be given a MANUAL typewriter with an assistant to pull their research and be done with it. They just weren't meant to touch technology! DjDennis 02-26-2008, 12:39 PM nope mine is done stable and I can can make XP look 100% like vista - so why change anything i'll stay with xp thanks Papa Deuce 02-26-2008, 01:23 PM The sad thing is there are people out there when it comes to computers who ARE that stupid.
