when I drop either of these two songs, sometimes back to back, they kill! Peeps go nutz....
But they are a couple of years old... I don't do as many teen dances as I used to, so tell me... what are the new Zombie and Sand?
X-over techno that works????

I'm right with you on this Chuck, in fact I like to talk to my HS juniors and seniors from time to time to get their take on the music played at dances. I recently asked a former student of mine (who is really into the music scene) if there was any heavy metal type music that is both popular AND danceable (bodies by drowning pool is close but always initiats a mosh pit)...he said not really BUT that crowd that is into heavy metal is also secretly into techno - as are most HS kids when it comes down to it (and why sandstorm always fills the floor). Recently I've been scouring the internet for some good techno with no luck...surely someone on these boards have some good titles!

There really are not any songs that have the same power.
They both work very well at teen events.
I have added Cascada to the techno set. What Hurts The Most, and her hit from a few years ago Everytime We Touch.
I have found Ian Van Dahl - Castles in The Sky, Ago - Tell Me Where You Are, Dj Alligator Project - Blow My Whistle are all techno songs that work at teen parties.

Play Daft Punk!
I love all of their titles and their albums are actually worth buying since the songs are all great.
"One More Time" "Around The World" and "Harder Better Faster Stronger" come to mind...
Also, Booty Luv's "Shine"
Those are just off the top of my head...not tested, but house-nerd approved :D

Daft Punk is a incredible group, their live shows are unbelievable (haven't seen one live, but I've seen video). Even though they've been around for awhile, they are gaining more and more exposure (IMO). Basement Jaxx is also great, I just don't think they are as well known (I frequently play Red Alert and Where's Your Head At, though).
Here is my Techno Hit-List:
Benny Benassi & The Biz - Satisfaction
Danzel - Pump It Up
Eric Prydz - Call On Me
These are always solid choices for the teen crowd. Satisfaction in particular is ALWAYS a hit at teen parties.
Some of those aren't so Sandstorm or Zombie Nation - esque, but they definitely do the trick for techno sets.
Here are some that are remakes or remixes of previous hits:
DJ X - Use Your Love - (Sampled from The Outfield)
DJ Sharaz - Blinded By The Light - (Sampled from Manfred Mann)
Here's a few more I remember from my techno days that were hits with the crowd:
Freestylers - Don't Stop The Rock
DJ Mike B - Feel My Energy
DJ Icey - Escape (Electro Mix)
