Monogram Gobo Sample - opinions

What do you guys think of this.

The large "G" in the middle is the first letter of the shared last name. The J is the first letter of the bride. And, the H is the first letter of the groom. The brides letter goes to the left of the middle letter. The grooms letter always goes to the right.

I used Edwardian Font for the G. And, Black Chancery font for the J and H.

I like that there are colors which will really make the G get that "wow" when projected on the wall?

I am not rotating the gobo.

Thoughts?

looks pretty good to me but I'd probably put some more space between the J and H the G seems to take them over.... but then I can't tell what it would look like in actual use... that's where the spacing will really show what you need. I do like the concept though...

I like it as well. You may try putting the G in the background and enlarging the J & H, just to see how it looks. What projector are you using?

I like it Harry! Try it the other way too, just moving the smaller letters a bit more outward to see how it looks. It appears that you have the space...

Thanks guys!! From what I've seen as sample monograms on the web, it always looks like the outside letters sort of overlap the big middle letter. It must be some fancy calligraphy sort of thing.

What you have is fine but I'd still bring the J and H to the forefront you already did that with the H but for some reason the J sits behind the G....

Thoughts?

Yeah, Rob is correct, the J is behind the G while the H is in front of the G. Since the center letter is larger, it can hold it's own even from the back.

Harry,

Just to see how they would look thing outside the box. Be different and try them in different positions. Maybe try the J up high, G in the middle, and H lower right. Over all I still like it. Are these to be custom steel gobos?

okay guys. You convinced me. This is actually really fun! The sky is the limit for ways to show it.

Nope... I'm doing it on transparency so I can project in color. It really looks cool to see a hot pick and soft blue mixed with a white letter across the room.

Here is my sample. Not much different than yours.

Rob,
How'd you get one to match mine so well? I do like the J in front.

Also... how did you attach a picture without having to put it somewhere else?

Harry,

I think you mean me (Ron). I just used photoshop and created it using your fonts.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the picture. Can you explain further?

Harry,
I think I know what you mean about the picture. When you are replying look down to additional options then click on manage attachments. You photo needs to be a certain size but that's where you upload it from.

What are you using to project that?
