Freestyler and Martin SCX 500 scanner

Hi!

I'm trying do preprogram a few scenes/sequences for Martin SCX 500 with Freestyler and running out of ideas. I would love to see other Djs creativity and maybe borrow some...:)

I would be hard for us to help to make scenes with no idea what other lighting is available.

To simplify the programming on the SCX-500s, I reversed the pan on two of my four fixtures I alternate them so I get easy cross beam effect without having program the two fixtures seperately.

I have 4 SCX500 scanners, 4 sound activated Martin manias EF3, 2 ADJ Revos III and 2 ADJ Star Balls II.

Can you swich on the fly and have them all in the slave mode?

Nope it's a setup thing on the top, no way to change it during a show, without climbing up and punching buttons.

Do you assign individual channel for each scanner (on the top of the light) or do you run 2 and 2 in identical slave mode?

When I first programmed my controller I put each scanner on a separate channel, but could put them all on the same channel and just reverse the pan on the two. Put there have been times it was nice having separate channels so I could setup each light as a spot light in a different area, and also just use one fixture as a follow spot. At some point in the future I will work up some new chases that uses the separate channels so I have just left them the original way, and I also have plenty of fixture space on my controller.
