Had our first prom; just got home. Small school. About 40 couples maybe. They had a great time. Things went pretty well and we had a near record load out time of 1:24!
Advisor commented "they hired someone else a few years ago once, and it just wasn't the same. It just didn't go as well." Guess we'll be back...already have their tentative '09 date.
Will have pics after a little shut-eye and after picking up our system from the figure skating show sunday afternoon.

I wish I could DJ Proms. It would be so much fun. I have done a few small ones. Here no school wants to spend more than $500 on a DJ for a Prom.
I have even tired to educate them. I did 2 Proms about 2 years ago and I said I would do it for the price of $500 and after I showed them a good time the Price would be normal the next year. When They called back for the next year and I told them $1000, they said I was great but they don't want to spend that much money.
Tickets are $100 to $120 a couple I feel $5 a person should go to entertainment. Meaing the average school would be $1000 to $1500 here as the average prom is 200 - 300 people.

You're lucky!! Proms don't start here until the third weekend of April. The last one is usually the first week of June. Anyway, great to hear it went well!

Yeah, just the little system this time. And, as a bonus, setup is right inside the doors and the semi is right outside....sweeeet! But events like this put roadies in the soup line.

You know what's hillarious... as I was looking at the pics thinking, "I need to post about the 'little' system". Then I read your above post. If you haven't seen Val & Steve's rig, it's awesome... even to me. It rivals a production comapany! Actually, they ARE a production company.
