But it looks kinda smooshed together.... Space things out a bit..looks sorta cluttered?? So Cal Hugh 04-05-2008, 03:02 AM This one looks a lot better. It is classy. Anyone want to help me with mine? It's in dire need of upgrade. DJ Dan 04-05-2008, 05:27 AM Rob, I really like the one with the headphones and mic in the middle, I'd just change the font and perhaps tone the green a bit, I think this would be a great logo for marketing to schools and teen events. nextgen1 04-05-2008, 07:08 AM I like that way more than the one with the creepy eyes...and the pervy smile.... :sqerr: :sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh: Yea what he said that little musical note reminds me of me. :sqlaugh: Randy A 04-05-2008, 07:57 AM Just for poops and giggles.... http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc220/talkdc/DJ%20Stuff/totalimpactlogo3.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc220/talkdc/DJ%20Stuff/totalimpactlogo2.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc220/talkdc/DJ%20Stuff/totalimpactlogo.jpg On your own Rob. I've never been keen on your font selection. And, I agree with one comment, everything looks squeezed together....spread it out and let it breath. :) SoftJock Rick 04-05-2008, 08:37 AM Here's my try :) http://www.softjock.com/images/TotalImpact.gif Request Line Productions 04-05-2008, 09:10 AM I like it better than anything you've had so far. Just needs tweaking. I like the font, but tighten up the green drop shadow. Randy A 04-05-2008, 09:12 AM Hank --- I was hoping to 'bait' you into the conversation. :) jokerswild 04-05-2008, 09:40 AM Here's another one up for judgement Randy A 04-05-2008, 09:54 AM If I was listening to anyone, I'd take Hank's advise....he's a logo god! jokerswild 04-05-2008, 10:20 AM Look up I added a third.... jokerswild 04-05-2008, 10:27 AM Here's another variant of the stacked logo jokerswild 04-05-2008, 10:52 AM Can you tell I'm bored.... here's a variant of the one with the headphon/mic in the middle SoftJock Rick 04-05-2008, 10:53 AM Rob, Big thing to keep in mind, is when you need to have a logo printed, embroidered, silk-screened, etc. Making it too complicated, with too many colors and curves, will not only cost more, but also cause bleeding of the colors. When in doubt, simpler is better with logos IMHO -- and gets imprinted in potential client's heads easier :) Think AT&T, IBM and Fedex -- you can see their logos in your head ;) Just my thoughts... Ron Auger 04-05-2008, 11:22 AM ok still playin with my logoMama always said if you keep playing with that thing it's going to fall off!:sqeek: I like the top one of the three together. jokerswild 04-05-2008, 11:28 AM Rob, Big thing to keep in mind, is when you need to have a logo printed, embroidered, silk-screened, etc. Making it too complicated, with too many colors and curves, will not only cost more, but also cause bleeding of the colors. Good point... if I were to embroider any of those I'd loose the green that surrounds the text and use just plain text anyway.... While simple is usually best... what I'm looking for is POP so none of these have gone live yet.... they are still very much a work in progress... if I were to put one in use it would be the one just above this post where I brought the green in tight with the text... but still an inline design vs stack... I haven't ruled out the stacked version as it could be useful in other situations such as documents for example.... Holiday Inn Express has about three variants of their logo and use it for different applications and that is what I'm trying to develope.... any idea's are very welcome and if you want to take a stab at it like Randy has then go for it.... I'd really love to see any idea's Hank has... hint, hint:sqbiggrin: SoftJock Rick 04-05-2008, 12:57 PM any idea's are very welcome and if you want to take a stab at it like Randy has then go for it.... I did -- see my version from this morning above. jokerswild 04-05-2008, 01:01 PM I did -- see my version from this morning above. Sorry didn't mean to slight ya... :sqcool: Travis B 04-05-2008, 01:21 PM First thing I noted was the need for tightening up the drop shadow as hank requested. The font choice is good, maybe just a tad bit more spacing to get it right. jokerswild 04-05-2008, 01:24 PM First thing I noted was the need for tightening up the drop shadow as hank requested. Exactly what my other point was going to be. Usually when I start a log. It's in raw B&W (line art) first. This will serve as flexible version for screen print/cut jobs. After that, you add all the effects for web, digital print, etc. Like so.... http://dmsign.net/hank/BryanDurio/bwlogo.jpg http://dmsign.net/hank/BryanDurio/clogo.jpg Rob, can't say I like this font: http://www.ourdjtalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6868&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1207416262 jokerswild 04-05-2008, 06:19 PM Exactly what my other point was going to be. Rob, can't say I like this font: http://www.ourdjtalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6868&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1207416262 So maybe the better would have been the first font but maybe do the green highlights like the above? Here's what I'm trying to do I want 3 Logo's 1 - Inline with logo in center as in the above, 1 - Stacked with logo and 1 - inline with logo at the front... 2 sets... 1-Color & 1-B&W This will give me the most flexibility when it comes to both online publishing and printed publishing... This is how the Holiday Inn Logo is done... for example The Inline Holiday logo has the star graphic above Holiday Inn Express and is used primarily on building exteriors signage The stacked version is used primarily in the pilon signs and most printed and published materials... The Inline with star at the front is used on things such as the ink pens and golf pencils provided in the rooms... So you can see where I'm leading. jokerswild 04-06-2008, 05:14 PM If you look at my signature you'll see what I ended up with... thanks for all the input from everyone... I know the text style may not be to the liking of some but I really like it... Randy A: Thanks for the Mic/Note/Headset graphics.... they really do look good... did you design them or were they something you found on the net? Later when I have the time I will post all six variations that I will be using for various publications and promo's 3-Color 3-B&W Randy A 04-06-2008, 07:17 PM Randy A: Thanks for the Mic/Note/Headset graphics.... they really do look good... did you design them or were they something you found on the net? Yes I know... I did that intentionally to give more of a 3-D effect... so the mic and note should appear to be more infront of the headphones... Where they overlap the shadow is darker... to me it looks more realistic that way.... Thoughts? Randy A 04-06-2008, 08:40 PM Whatever you like, is fine with me. I'm just happy, that you're happy. (Now, if we could some other happy campers back in here!) jokerswild 04-06-2008, 09:00 PM Whatever you like, is fine with me. I'm just happy, that you're happy. (Now, if we could some other happy campers back in here!) Thanks... ...and I do appreiciate all of the input EVERYBODY has put in on this little project... it took me a long time to be happy with it... but I think now I have something that I really like. jokerswild 04-07-2008, 12:57 AM Here are the three color versions... the B&W will be the same just in B&W 1cdj 04-07-2008, 12:58 AM i dont think the font says total impact it says to me like total tae kwon doe, find something with a little more impact. just my opinion | |
