Color Palette Question [Archive] - Our DJ Talk

About a week ago we had some sever storms going through and I unpluged my lights... today when I pluged them back in my color palettes defaulted to DMX channels 001 and 017 when they should have been 017 and 033, is this a common occurance?

No big deal now that I know but could have caused me quite a bit of stress while setting up... being a newbie I wouldn't have had a clue why my lights were missbehavin'.

I don't know about those specific fixtures but yes. It is very common to lose power to a fixture and have the dmx address reset.

Just reset them to the proper dmx channels.

Try this to be sure they are okay.
1. Reset the proper DMX channels.
2. Turn the fixtures off.
3. Unplug them.
4. Plug them back in.
5. Turn them on.

If the dmx channels are still the same that you programmed, then the fixtures are okay.

If the dmx channels are NOT the same as you programmed, you could have a problem with the flash memory that holds the dmx channel settings. I'd call the manufacturer to see what they say about that.
