Here are a few pics on my computer.. None have been retouched except for resizing.

The first three are the "golden arches" about 2 miles from my house. They look really good in the spring when the water is flowing full forse.

The next three is the Deleware river off an outlook in Narrowsburg NY

The last two are rainbows from my kitchen window!

Hope you like. :walkman:

Geez, I don't have any "scenic" pictures to share today, but I've got "trashed van pictures" instead!

I spent the day at the doctor's office and the hospital, getting neck, shoulder and hip x-rays and a cat scan for my head. Good news is, no neck damage,etc....Bad news is I have a bruise on the front left part of my brain from the accident. Man, now I know why I was having such a hard time doing that reception on Saturday. My focus was way off and I didn't know if I was going to make it through the night, but I did. I had hired a friend to roadie all the heavy stuff (darn those heavy Peavey cabinets), and to do a lot of my set up for me.

Doctor has given me 800 milligram Ibuprofen and a muscle relaxant for bed-time. :D

I have to see a neurologist on Thursday for a follow-up on my progress.

The "nice-lady" who hit me is trying to weasel out of her responsibility on this one. We had a chat with her insurance adjuster today and told him that the unbiased witnesses were coming to court along with the police and myself to make sure the ticket and her liability for the accident sticks.

I've got a reception on Friday night, so I've got to get myself mended and I'm definitely using my roadie for that night also.

Yes, yes...I should have went to the doctor earlier...but I'm a guy....you can't tell us anything. But, I have learned my lesson on "not going" and won't put things off again.....I promise....or my wife will kick my butt!

Kirby

My dad works at Cat. They've been working on this front-end loader for about 4 months now (Cat Certified Rebuild. They had it stripped down to the frame). It's so big that it came in on 4 trucks. They had to take the cab off to get it in the door, even with the wheels off.

This is what happens when you don't have any events booked!

We're taking a break from playing Uno and wearing our silly stocking hats.

Bryce is in the back and the girl is Shannon who used to be our next-door neighbor when we lived in Springfield. Bryce and Shannon have known each other since they were in diapers! Shannon likes to come out every once in awhile and spend the weekend, hanging out with us. She also helps Coreen with photography equipment at some of the weddings.

We just recently went computerized. The carts are lined up on the screen that you can see behind the mic goose neck. We use a system called "Arakas"... (I think I spelled it wrong). The player system we use is called "Extreme".

All I have to do is push one button to advance to the next selection on the cart... very nice compared to the old system. We had to punch in 8 or 10 code numbers for EVERY little spot or cut. Big drag! Now I can walk away for up to ten minutes at a time... makes it a lot easier to go to the can, or flirt with the secretary.

The Nike Point Nuclear Missile Launch site. Was the primary US nuclear defense site on the west coast during the Cold War. Right at the top of the mountain I live on, overlooking the Hudson River.

Now that the silo is filled in (last picture, foundation is still visable), you can pretty much walk around over there (there are some hiking trails too), but there is still a section that is restricted and patrolled by the National Guard.

My Australian Shepperd is a good watch dog.... but not a guard dog, IYKWIM.

He will let us know about everything, but probably let people in anyway... however, I do believe he would attack if people tried to harm us. When my kids were 1, he used to chest bump some people who came near my kids.... and it was a SERIOUS chest bump. It would knock the wind out of some people.

Now he is much better!

Also, when they were learning to climb steps he would walk behind them with his head behind their butts... so that they wouldn't fall backwards!

Kirby,
Below are the image specs. The whole macro thing had to do with my sister asking if the camera was good enough to show a bugs' teeth...I've been looking for bugs, but all I could find was this tiny spider....so I shot a few dandelions, etc. Surprising how pretty a dandelion can look with a close up like that! lol The RAW files look even better but I haven't converted them yet. These photos were all in Auto mode as I am playing a bit between AV and TV and auto to find things that 'work'. Auto give me specs so I get a clue what to try when I want to force the issue later on.

This was certainly one of the best places we have been able to get a band into. The sound and lighting were amazing, the stage was huge, and the DVD shoot went awsome. 4 digital video cameras located on on the balcony and then 2 throughout the crowd.

Again, AWESOME shots Jay!

My favoritie is the one of your daughter sitting on the stump by the water. Enlarge that one and put it on the "Wall of Fame" in your house.

Thanks for sharing those with us. :)
