Steve Cie 04-13-2008, 03:41 PM Well, it took almost four full days, but I think I am finally happy with my latest web site.
I picked up a new program which incorporates CSS technology in the site, to help make it more search engine friendly.
I streamlined the site, eliminating more than 12 pages that were on the old site. Added a little bit of flash to it, not much, just a dab here and there.
I definitely appreciate any comments. (just don't beat me up too much!)

Travis B 04-13-2008, 03:44 PM "Having An Affair?........Make Sure It's With Steve Cie " I like the double meaning.
Steve Cie 04-13-2008, 03:58 PM Thanks. I have always liked "double connatives" in my advertising.
I owned a Radiator Repair Shop back in the late 70's.
I coined the slogan "Best Place In Town To Take A Leak!"
I should have made it a trade mark, as many radiator shops have used the slogan over the years since.
I also owned a Fence Company. I called it "The Neighborhood Fence"
Boy the cops were always stopping by!
Both true stories!:sqwink:
Steve i really like it
I like the way the lines come across the page. The party store didnt work right for me i rewatched it 3x it kind of went into position and dissappeared.
i think you have an extremely clever tag line too. I just cant believe you get all those sweet 16s and youve been djing since the year i was born and on 3 occasions this year ive been told i was too old to do someones sweet 16 so i drafted a dj out of a high school we do all the time

SayHi2ThisFDJ 04-13-2008, 04:30 PM Steve,
Go with another page with a "about you" section...move the adja etc to that page too...the page looks too busy..the rest is cool.
Steve Cie 04-13-2008, 09:27 PM I wish to thank everyone for their kind comments and suggestions.
It is much appreciated.
Kyle, I fixed the party Store Button. What I had been attempting to do is make it move a little and flash on and off. I agree, it didn't do what I wanted it to. Thak You for the kudo on the tag line. I had it trade-marked back in 1980. It has always been my official tag. I recently added a new tag for my 30th Anniversary in business. "When a Good DJ Just Isn't Good Enough!
As for getting those Sweet 16 Parties, it is just a matter of heavy marketing and passing out DVD's of my Sensational Sweet Sixteen Videos.
I just edited a new edition this afternoon and it is available to view on my Sensational Sweet Sixteen page. The real trick in getting Sweet Sixteen bookings is by convincing the parents first believe it or not. I charge a decent fee for Sweet 16's. Base price is $595 for four hours, but I almost always end up upselling them to $895 - $995. I did one recently with LIVE video feed, 100" rear projection Video Screen, one of my Through the Years Photo Montage, a 2 hour edited Video Disc of the event, and a Souveneir Photo Booth for guests photos, with Ice Sculpture and Decorations, the tab amounted to $11,000. But events like that one are a rarity!
But the main point is the up-selling. Start at a very reasonable price for a basic party, and then build it up to a real money maker.
P@40, thanks also. I just used Web Easy Professional Ver 7. I never used it before, so I was a tad clumsy navigating through it. But like anything new, it takes time to get acclimated. I ereally like the transitional effects. But they are only seen by folks viewing it through Microsoft Internet Explorer. But at least 60% of the viewers of my site are using Explorer according to my stats reports. I wasn't sure if I would use so much color, so, I went with it for now. We will see what happens over the next 10 days or so, and whether or not it will remain so colorful. I think I like it.
SayHi- I am confused as to what you mean by going with an About You page. Did you mean re-do The Steve Cie Story page, or did you mean add another page in addition to that one?
Again, Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions.
Richie K 04-13-2008, 09:33 PM Steve,
Looks great!!! When do we start working on mine? Fun, enetaining and classy!!!
Steve Cie 04-13-2008, 09:41 PM Thanks Rich.
I will need a few days to decompress. I had this weekend off, so it turned out to be a good time to complete the project.
But I got to tell you, my brain is fried.
And you won't believe what a mess my office looks like!
My wife just walked in and laughed.
She laughed until i told her that she was going to be the one to clean it up!
Just kidding!
I have a couple of more things to tweak on the site. SEO and such.
Catch ya during the week!
Jon Tuck 04-13-2008, 10:27 PM Steve I love the gradient background themed with your pars on top. Excellent subliminal.
sparkieg 04-14-2008, 02:53 AM Steve - one thing I noticed when I clicked on the pics of your lighting setups - it redirects me to a website pushing software: http://www.avanquestusa.com/
Is it supposed to do that?
The Wizard Of OZ 04-14-2008, 03:32 AM I like it especially the audio.
I clicked on the gigmasters link and watched your video, it's very good IMO. I think it should be on your website. I have a lot of work to do and a long ways to go. . .
SayHi2ThisFDJ 04-14-2008, 07:04 AM Add another page...and take off the adja etc and put it on there...because the rest of the page is great...when a page looks too busy a bride doesn't know what to "click" first...best thing to do is to break some of the "clicking" up...
Steve Cie 04-14-2008, 09:18 AM Good catch, Greg. Thanks. I missed it. No, it is not supposed to redirect to their software ad. I'm gonna fix that real quick. Thanks again.
Thanks, Charlene. I'll look into doing that. I agree, the page is very busy.
I just want to be sure to get the message out to the viewer who don't bother going past the first page. But i agree with you and I'll look into it.
Dave Winsor 04-14-2008, 09:24 AM Hi Steve,
This is akward:
"Elegance Class Distinction For Your Special Event !"
the part is not "distinction for your special event" it's before that. Perhaps it should read,
"Elegance, Class and Distinction For Your Special Event !
Dave
barry stamper 04-14-2008, 10:06 AM Steve Nice audio you should be in Radio:sqwink:
Steve Cie 04-14-2008, 10:56 AM Thanks, Dave.
The change has been implemented!
Steve Cie 04-14-2008, 10:58 AM Thanks , Barry. Back in the 70's & 80's, I hosted my show on WVRM FM 89.3 here in the New York City/New Jersey area.
I would love to get back into radio one day!
Steve Cie 04-14-2008, 10:59 AM Thanks, Wizard
GoodKnightDJ 04-14-2008, 11:34 AM I picked up a new program which incorporates CSS technology in the site, to help make it more search engine friendly.
What are you using?
BTW, I like it.

Steve Cie 04-14-2008, 08:15 PM I am using Web Easy 7 Professional by avanquestusa.com
http://www.avanquestusa.com/webeasy7/Box_220.jpg
You can get a trial version on their web site.
The full version only costs $49.95, and they currently are offering it for $10 off.
It is a bit different than Front Page, Microsodft Publisher, Web Designer, or Web Creator, all of which I have used before. It took me a bit to get the hang of the navigation. But the results appear promising thus far.
