My partner uses a lappy, and wants to use Numark Cue to do his Karaoke show.

Problem is, All of his TV's are old, Coax only. Tried to use a RF Modulator to send S-Video Out-to modulator-coax to T.V.

Seems the graphics card will not recognise the RF modulator, My desktop will not recognise it either, tried the force T.V. output....still nothing.

Any ideas, besides buying a flat screen monitor with s-vid input like i did??

You will need a "Scan Converter"http://cgi.ebay.com/Avermedia-AVerKey-iMicro-PC-to-TV-scan-converter_W0QQitemZ120245519899QQihZ002QQcategoryZ 73390QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemThis is the one I have used for years.

For what ever reason if you convert s-video to composite the rf modulator will work. If i use a standard s-video cable I can't get it to work, but if I use a s-video to composite it works just fine.

He has since found a temp fix.

He put the lappy in "extended desktop" and used the video pop-up window,
dragged that to the Karaoke monitor....Works very well.

But it seems the problem is getting somwthing the graphics card will recognise.

Thanks for the replys. I'll buy a s-vid to rca cable w/ a rca to coax adapter and see how it works!

19" LCD is around $200, a LOT lighter than a anything with a picture tube, requires no converter, and will easily last a couple of years. I think you've made the right move. What's up with your friend?
