I had a client recently show me some other bids from companies that did web design/programming. The rates basically were $5,000 across the board. WOW!

So now, I get to go in and underbid and still come out satisfied :)

One was going to use open source joomla publisher. Isn't there something in there about using that for commercial applications? I'll have to look. Anyways, I say horray me!

Joomla can be used for anything, as far as I know. I don't think it's GPL'd though.. Doug knows more about Joomla than I but I believe there's a clause about rebranding it in their licensing agreement.

Mambo, Joomla's parent CMS is GPL'd however, I believe and you can do what ever you want with it.

Coolio on the bid.. 5G's is an awful lot for a website.

Joolma can be used for commercial sites, as long as the template was purchased for commercial. I believe there is a difference in the license fee.

Anyways, my site was created with Joolma.

Hmm....Did you say.... $5,000????????

Interesting!!! And who ever said (X)HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL were worthless?
HA! Glad I'm learning....

And quite honestly, most sites are down-right simple. Sure, not all, but many are!

And as they say, knowledge is power!!!:dcool:

Way to go Travis!

Ryan, you got a skill! Anyone who is putting themself through school and still working on business ventures got balls (disco ones that is). A PHP programmers rate is around $35 so keep chucking! I don't like looking at a computer screen all day, and code in my face... I need to be a people person, so I chose what i do now.
