Anyone else noticing very high call and email volumes the last few days?

I'm ironing out my last few available Saturdays and booking some Friday weddings.

I have also started on handful of 2009 leads.

Cam - the phones and emails are definitely picking up. A lot of tire-kickers, but some serious inquiries mixed in...

Hopefully it bodes well for the rest of 2008 and into 2009...

Yup, I noticed a bump. I just closed out June and July. I have a few dates in August and lots of hits on the lure.

I'm seeing people booking weddings at 3 months now. The economy has things atrange but I can live with it just as long as I don't have to dip into the salary to pay the rent, utilities, gas, and food.

Yes, 3 months is becoming common.

There are also people that have attended prior weddings I have performed and are 12 to 18 months. Simply cause they wish to use my service.

I have also booked 2 in May in the last day. Both cancelations by other DJs.

It's an odd business. Like you said Tom, as long as I'm paying the bills, I don't mind when the dates are booked.

1 - July
2 - Aug
1 - September
0 - October
1 - November
1 - December

I will definatly take having only 6 unbooked Saturdays

our pre-season starts March 1 there has been an influx of calls and emails but typically at this point I need to turn them down.

Today has been nice... not too many incoming calls... Since Jan we have beeen very busy booking, I will take a day like this once in a while, and come in here to play!

DJ Scottie : Have you ever tested the grmusic web site using the Firefox browsers? It may have alignment issues.

Hi Cap.... My web designer uses Firefox... (that no good low down @$!@#).... what is wrong??? I dont have firefox so it all looks good to me.

I've noticed a an uptick as well. So far this year, we've done 4 gigs. In the last week, we've booked 3 more and have 4 others on the lure.

Same here....we're booking up left and right. We've actually booked 8 gigs for 2009 too! For a crappy economy, this isn't half bad.
