jclaydon 04-29-2008, 05:01 PM more good news. Now let's hope that the entire collections from these manufacturers becomes available, because a lot of these companies make tracks that aren't available anywhere else.
I currently have the entire collection of sweet georgia brown, two dk discs, several legends discs and a couple of supercore.
if the entire collection becomes available than that will take me one step closer to my digital karaoke goal. heheh
anyway
jokerswild 04-29-2008, 09:50 PM I was shocked and surprised by this news... I found out through irc chat from a fellow KJ that they had expanded and it was Toqer that told me... :sqerr: WTF Toqer are ya asleep at the wheel buddy....:sqlaugh:

You tell me first... PM me and I'll tell ya if your right or not.
mckyj57 05-01-2008, 05:20 PM Most of the added labels have a very limited number of their tracks listed. If they had the whole DK offering, it would be great. They do have 400 or so Supercore tracks, which is nice, but I recommend all new KJs buy Supercore as a matter of course anyway.
If they put the whole Pioneer offering up, that would be a biggy. Most of those are the same music as the old lasers, which are a cut above most non-SoundChoice productions.

I'd say give the content time... remember there are a lot of hurdles they have to jump through just to make 1 track available.... from permissions to ripping them. I've watched their Zoom line go from miniscule to nearly the entire Zoom product line...
The reason it is such great news is not necessarily that there is a lot of content from these providers but that there is content at all from these providers...
Get what I mean?

That's certainly what I'm hoping for. The only thing I don't understand is how they managed to get anything from DK and All Hits in the first place, considering that both companies went belly up years ago.. *shrug*

Someone must still own the rights to the karaoke they made... just like Yoko O-no owns the rights to the Beatles catalog and even though the Beatles are no more she seems to have Sir Paul by the short hairs.... lol
Kirby Ball 05-03-2008, 10:09 PM Sony and Michael Jackson have control over the "publishing rights" of the songs.
The Beatles and their heirs have control over the "masters" of the recordings.
Hence, a Beatle song may be used in a commercial as long as it's not a Beatles performance...unless they agree to do so.
Yoko has control over John's "solo" efforts.

My bad... but still the same principles apply....
