What program for ripping?Abbey Lane 05-05-2008, 05:25 PM I have a bride who wants me to play a family video and I want to ripp it to my computer, what program do you suggest for ripping? Steve Sharp 05-05-2008, 08:56 PM If you can find a copy, smartripper is easy and user friendly. DVD Decrypter does a great job, but is a little more challenging to navigate. I can link to a tutorial for Decrypter that I found very helpful, if you're interested. Abbey Lane 05-06-2008, 09:19 PM I'm just looking for a program that is easy and fast. Travis B 05-06-2008, 10:58 PM #1 DVD Ripper if it is still around. I do have a 1 to 1 unit which takes analog source (component) and converts it into avi files. I prefer this since to me it is quicker and looks better IMO. patrickrlewis 05-06-2008, 11:15 PM I use this to rip DVD's to my Zune. You can rip in .wmv or .mp4 format. It is super easy to use and you can control the aspect ratio and quality. www.pqdvd.com maestro 05-06-2008, 11:39 PM Audiograbber with the Lame encoder, awesome! Abbey Lane 05-09-2008, 01:50 PM I ripped a dvd, put the picture is widescreen, how do I change it to full screen? What should I be looking for to change in the software I'm using? drzinc 06-12-2008, 09:33 PM If the source of the video is dvd the best ripper is called dvd shrink if you can find it. http://www.dvdshrink.org/ Download here.... http://download1us.softpedia.com/dl/763035b406f61709b7e6bd389d88cffe/4851ceca/100004128/software/cd_dvd_tools/dvdshrink32setup.zip micwatson 09-18-2008, 07:41 PM #1 DVD Ripper if it is still around. Can you please tell me the name of the 1 to 1 unit you are using and the round about cost of cost Travis B 09-18-2008, 08:09 PM I'm using a product that I am a reseller for. Newtek VideoToaster, the card and software alone are thousands, but the software is much more than converting videos, you can mix 8 component, 8 s-video, or 24 composite signals and switch between the sources. I use it for my VJ applications as it is more reliable than VDJ, and can edit video efficiently and easily. It will edit HD video with the new vr. 5. That software is quite pricy, but for others I recommend the Newtek Tricaster, which comes in several flavors, accepts 3 inputs, video from another computer/mac, and can do titling and editing of video, it is an appliance, has a small thumbprint. http://www.newtek.com/tricaster/images/tricaster_100.jpg This unit goes for: 4,995.00, but contact me personally and I'll see what kind of savings I can dig up for you. :) | |
