today when I went over to Memphis and stopped by Guitar Center. I picked up a pair of Mackie SRM450s. I have had a pair since '91 and have had absolute zero problems. They have a version 2 out now and are discontinuing the origional version 1. I got them for $500.00 a piece.
Now this is NOT a Mackie-bashing thread, ok? I have been pleased with them and now I have a new set and a backup set...sweet!!!

Mackie's are great speakers...I'm with ya....except I just spent over $1000 on EV's. Please don't bash me either... after all...I bruise easily.

They been advertising these for hard all week on radio. I had problems with mine and had sold them but for the price I reccomended a pair to the bar owner for our VIP area.
