I LOVE what moving head fixtures can do for any show and use the crap out of them wherever I go. I currently have a couple No name china 250's that have tons of features (16 DMX channels) for the price....but I feel the quality is lacking a bit. I would like to sell off some gear pretty soon (two Chauvet Q-rolls and the two moving heads I use) and invest in a couple nicer Moving heads and professional road case.
I've been looking into the Elation Design Spot 250 for a start but not sure about:
1. quality for the price
2. Durability
3. Warranty
4.Is there something else you all have been using and would swear by???
"Hit me with your best spot"......
I'm a complete dork.
Thanks in advance for all the help I'm about to recieve :sqwink:

JT, I'm posting this because my wife won't let me call you right now :sqlaugh:
One thought is wait until our big gig next year (more on that one later boys and girls) and buy four elation's and work them into our lighting budget for the night. The question is, can I wait a year??????

I love the Elation moving heads. I heard great things about the Accuspot 250's also. Right now I currently have HES Track Spots and 2 Martin Acrobats. I want to change my lights to 4 Martin SCX 600's with an Arch style Truss. My current lights are very old fixtures. I heard from somewhere that ADJ owns Elation now. I don't know how true that is.

ADJ has always been elation I believe....
knardini, I'm in on all that...but again bro, you are really seeing many of the same effects with our moving heads. Unless you are going to go HES or Martin, you may not see much improvement over what we have....but of course, moving into Elation would just cause us to want to go bigger....lol
Tell your wife that you have to call me or the dual vasectomy is off!

I know our fixtures are great for the $$$ but you can tell just by looking at the elations they are high quality gear - you know what I mean. I do like the wash + gobo effect = super cool. I'm ready to sell everyting I own and just take two elations and upgrade to your LED pars and be done. Of course I'd have to add some toys for bigger shows...or rent....then there are the diversitronic strobes! Speaking of the strobes, I'll post a quick video next week of those two strobes in hyperflash mode turning a dark gym into the brightest white light these kids have ever seen :sqwink:

At our recent club installation the AccuSpot 250 seem to be a good buy for the mobile DJ's :) pretty bright too!
