It doesn't matter. You can upload to a Linux server from a Windows machine. FTP is a standardized protocol you clients across all OS'es (Windows, Linux, OS X) all 'speak' the same language.

As far as I know hosting-wise Dreamweaver doesn't need anything Windows specific; Photoshop doesn't either once it's saved as a JPG, PNG, etc you use Filezilla to upload it.

And, you can always change the account back to Windows within your control panel. It takes a few minutes to process it, but you can do it yourself. I know because I recently changed one of my sites several times as I was testing Joomla & Wordpress.

BTW -- I just jumped over to that thread.....you can upgrade right from your account from free to paid and you won't lose anything. I do it all the time when creating websites for others. I use GoDaddy exclusively (unless the client has someone else) and I use the $4.99 a month hosting plan....more than enough for most people.

Sounds like Groove will help you out, contact him.

Linux and Apache web Server for my Joomla CMS website. Debian Linux for my desktop. The ONLY windows app I use is VisiTrax under Wine. I have not been able to find a Linux Music Manager that even comes close at this time.
