Bonjour everyone. Its 10:35am on sunday here and I'm so exhausted that its not even funny. Anyhow, party got started at 8pm when the main doors opened and the flood washed in. Within about 4 minutes I had a packed dance floor. Opening song was In The Ayer. Most requested songs were Swing, Lollipop, and Drop n' Gimme 50. I had about a 20 minute set of older rap, like sir-mix-alot, old usher, nelly (hot in here- went over huge) and the kids responded extremely well to all of them. Also got in some oldies like My Girl, Stand By Me and When A Man Loves A Woman also with great success. The highlight of my night was when the police told me I had to cut the bass back because 2 of the metal cans that surround the lights on the 25' ceiling had just fallen and crashed in the back of the room. At the same token, the roof rattled enough to coat the entire floor in sheetrock junk by the end of the night. The amount of bass from this system was absolutely insane! I LOVED the power of the sub coupled and will certainly try to couple them whenever possible. I had more than enough power and it sounded amazing. I had a stack of 500 cards disappear primarily to adults who were so impressed that a teenager, a student at the school could put together something like that. Heres some crowd shots, questions welcomed.

That's the way you throw a party. Also you can't beat a free room at the Embassy Suites. Good job to you all!

Ryan - just a small note concerning posting pics - with Internet Explorer, the pics are huge. If you could resize them prior to posting it would help.

Other than that, great job!

Awesome!!! Looks like they had a blast...

Looking at your powered speakers in pics 1 and 2, what brand are those? Just curious as to why the XLR input is on top and not the bottom of the speaker...:sqconfused: Maybe the designer has never done a gig before...:sqwink:

The setup looks nice & clean & defineatly can tell that the kids had a blast. Great job...thx

JBL Eons have the XLR on top too..

But the XLRs are off to the side, rather then running an XLR cable along a hot heat sink.

They actually asked me to go ahead and write them the contract for the same saturday next year, and 2 principals from 2 rival schools, Summerville HS and Fort Dorchester HS both were there and came up to be during and after the gig to tell me how impressed they were. Both took cards and said they'd be calling me within the month to book theirs for next year with us. I was very pleased with the outcome and I think the client as well as the students were as well.
