Now that i thought of it alot of dj's on here have been telling me to forget about the amp and go active so i was wondering if these speakers (Behringer Eurolive B212A Active 2-Way Loudspeaker Pair) sound good for doing partys in halls such as sweet 16 i have coming up in two weeks. I was also wondering if there loud and sound pretty clear for the price of $460.00 for a pair.

Behringer is low end pro audio equipment... its like buying pyle or gemini in my opionion, the only thing behringer makes of any quality is a very cool usb sound card... but thats another story... My advice, rent a set from a local guitar center... It not expensive any you can try it and see how it is... Honesty, you should be paying no less then $600 per speaker if they are powered...

Luis,
If you already own a pair of 215's why would you not go ahead and purchase an amp to drive them?

I have one and I don't like it for anything but low volume applications.

Behringer, while not optimal will do, but with those you will need a sub especially if you are doing a sweet 16 with them.

I agree with several here, and ultimately with Thunder, use those Peaveys they will sound great!
The Behringers will not.

Yes, absolutely. Feed a pair of dually 15s with plenty of amp headroom, EQ 'em right and you'll rattle that dance floor with some serious thump. :)
