We made some of these for our powered speaker line-up. We call them "loom" cables. You will not have any hum in these cables since they are tied directly to each other. You may get ground loops if another power cable does not intersect it at 90 degrees albeit diagonal.

interesting thing you bringing this up, as I was talking about such a neat item to have with our very own Sponsor Ben at Northernlight FX. I almost certain unless he has sold a bunch in the past week or two that he has them and a whole lot more. I would be supporting Ben first as NLFX our sponsor helps to keep this wonderful sharing forum alive. Hopefully Ben can inform us of what he has to offer in detail along these lines.

Stacy -

Thanks for pointing out this useful addition to any DJ system using powered speakers.

Jon -

Yes, we offer siamese cables in several different configurations (edison, IEC, powercon), some with dual XLRs, singles, different lengths, different fanout lengths (such as for EON, etc). If anyone is interested, please let us know what model speaker and mixer you are using, as well as your desired length and we'll get you a price right away. :)

Just my 10 cents, but I plug the speakers in a near by outlet to there location, and then run XLRs to them... Why would I want to bring them back to my main rig... Most venues I have been too have an oulet on either side of you, where you plug the speakers into, and then you run your rig to a central one, or to one of the side

DJ MJ, see my post above. Ground loop issues may occur.

Doh! You beat me to it! LOL. Add to that the benefit of power conditioning (easiest to run the power into a rack mounted conditioner, but there are Series II conditioners that are not rack mount that could be used).

I honestly have never had a ground loop problem from going to multiple outlets, if thats what you are trying to say... I have more problems with running power to close to audio... Most of the time the ground is pretty reliable (As an electrician/ electrical engineer)... I cant say I have played in a venue older than 100 years old though...

many times electricians will daisy chain the circuits so this does not happen. You will run into issues for instance if you plug in your mixer, computer, etc into an orange outlet (a circuit on its own breaker) and plug your speakers in an ordinary white socket. They are on different circuits and you could have issues.

Usually this happens in newer service buildings that contain 3 phase power. Since certain sockets may be on a different leg you are destined for issues :)
