I've hooked up with Wavy Davy for some fine tuning for my website. Just started this morning and already a side benefit....learning exactly what works and what doesn't. He's a great guy to work with.

I'll keep you all posted on my progress. In the meantime, contact Dave for some great advice on how to get noticed in a sea of "THE SAME MESSAGE" that everyone else is using.

Best,

Dave

Sorry to have you sweating there Dave ;) I was sweating too as I WAS really sunbathing and checking the chicks out at our neighborhood pool - nice job....

What did make me choke was the almost instant gratification with Google - #2 in 10 minutes was my fastest yet.

I have some clients that pay me (em) lots to do that and most take around six months.

Well spotted because I had to go in and double check you weren't mistaken - you weren't....

I really wish some of my clients would go at it as well and with as much purpose as you did.

More to come ;)

I've found "slow & steady wins the race"........at least its true with my site's SERP (non-sponsored, page one Google):

#5 for "Sacramento Weddings"

#6 for "Weddings in Sacramento"

not too shabby for an amateur SEO junkie......

did it the old fashioned way: Lots of hard work and staying up until 3 am link-mining.

Slow and steady? Bugger that!

DJ Dave Winsor had a #2 in 10 minutes - as I said that one shocked me and I had to check after he told me - sure enough number 2 it was - I'm working on a quick plan to bump him into #1 by weeks end if I can.

Dave I'll show you a trick in the am if you email me ;0) I would forget my balls were they not in a bag

Wavy,

Thanks for all your hard work. I know it's still early in the process, but for the very FIRST time, I feel like I've got a cohesive plan of attack on the web across various platforms. What a feeling!

Talk with you soon!

Dave

Bumping this thread back to the top, I found a useful site to help those of us that do maintenance on our own websites.

Here's the link:

Cool SEO Moz is the best - I'm a Pro Member there it was well worth it for me as their legal department saved my arse once.

By the way Greg that is all being rewritten and Part 2 will eclipse this link so watch out for what's coming....
