Visitor vs. Private Messages

Hi Folks,

When we upgraded to vBulletin 3.7 a month or so ago lots of new features were added. One notable feature is "Visitor Messaging", I've never explained how they work. I think most of you got the jest of it but in viewing some people profiles it looks like comments were left that were intended to be private messages.

Visitor messages work just like MySpace comments. They are public anyone viewing the receiver's profile can read them.

Private messages remain and will always remain private just between the sender and receiver just like an email.
