About the Shoutbox

The shoutbox is an awesome little modifaction to this website only problem is it's very intensive on the database. Everyone once in a while you'll see me or the moderators use the purge command. This deletes all messages thus cutting down on DB queries.

This is not done to moderate you, simply to be nice to my host and the rest of the users on the server with me. :)

I've upgraded to the latest shoutbox, which not longer uses the database. We'll prune once in a while just to keep things tidy.

It stores the messages in an HTML file now, the more shouts the bigger the file. You only see 8 messages on the shoutbox, most aren't anything important anyhow.

Hey you guys don't know this yet.

There's a command called me.. if you've ever used IRC you know what I'm talking about

basically you type

/me smiles at you

It would be read as:

***Your Username smiles at you****

you can replace anything after the /me
