To be fully operational, your cost is less than $1 a day. In a year, your investment is PAID OFF. That's the license. You only pay for the license...ONCE.
$298 divided by 365 days in a year= 0.81/day You can put custom photo's, artwork, etc on the front and inside of cards, you get a 35% discount on the cards themselves, and you get your own handwriting font.
You determine how many postcards, tri-folds and regular cards you send. No one else does. You pay as you go.
It's that simple.

Hi Dave sorry I don't get over here much, as you know I am traveling a bunch having fun spreading the SOCs word to happy DJs all over the world it seems.
I had a great webinar today with my folks in England using SOCs and Australia and New Zealand are doing their thing as well. The interest in Chicago at the summer MB show was amazing and you know Vegas is just around the corner. Last year (as you know) Rocked!
I haven't read all the posts here so forgive me if I say something that has already been said. The bottom line is that this simple but effective tool is changing peoples businesses like you wouldn't believe. People are finally starting to get it and understand how to use SOCs to connect people, build referrals, and long term relationships that PAY big dividends.
Dave, you are an awesome leader and have done a great job. If there is anything I can help with just let me know.

Thanks. I should note that for THE highest license, the cost per day would be $1.09 a day.
That's pretty inexpensive for the ability to control your message without the competition having a clue. It also builds deeper relationships with your clients and that means more referrals and that means more CASH for your business.

Pss. BTW, that license fee is paid off after one year at that rate. You waste more than that daily. Think about it. An interactive, personal contact method VS a static ad somewhere.

I know you are trying to break it down to show how affordable it is and all, but I really don't think that will paint the picture of why SOCs is the value that it is.
I'll apply this to me since I know no one else has done this.
I used to spend some serious time and energy creating "packages" of material that I would mail out to clients. My thought was simple; people wanted to be informed so the "package of stuff" would do that, and people like "getting stuff in the mail" (when it's not bills and junk mail).
So I created my "package of stuff". I sent some out, then some more. Then I would look at my work, maybe because I learned something new or read something, and I would add or subtract something from my "Package of stuff". This made the "Stuff" I now have (and paid for) obsolete.
I would do this at least twice a year if not more simply because as I was growing my business and educating myself on how to be more effective. My needs and services changed. So did my clients needs and needs for services as they too became more educated on HOW TO hire a mobile DJ.
As I type this I am looking at a box of over 1000 pieces that I had created 2 years ago that are useless to me now. All because I keep learning, growing, and changing to be better for my clients.
That is a lot of wasted time and money (not to mention paper).
Then 1 1/2 years ago I start using SOCs. Granted, it is different than sending out info packs, however my booking rate is up and it doesn't cost me ANYTHING if I need to change a card in any way. EVERY piece can be different, every piece can be dialed in to the person I am sending it too.
That is just ONE of the most important benefits of using this tool that I have found that makes it far more valuable to me than thinking of it as just less than a dollar a day.
Dave, because I know you have shared SOCs with a ton of people outside of the DJ world and have helped them and others with their businesses by teaching them how using the system can increase their speed and efficiency as well as their income you only need to look how it has made you Top Of Mind in those peoples lives to see even greater value than a dollar a day.
Sure, it's a small investment by any business standard (what most people say is a no brainer) but sometimes people aren't concerned with that.
So stop trying to be logical with these good folks and show them how you can help specifically grow any area of their business!
(of course I am just digging at you in that last part, I know you have it going on! Sorry folks, Dave is someone I highly respect and don't get to speak to enough so I sort of mixed a post and a visit with him together)

Thanks for the kind words, and the wrap up. I just thought of another "TRUE cost" of SOC, lost opportunity for those who have no plan, or they have a plan, but no delivery method.
As I told you Ed, "this business moves me" because of the response I get from my clients. It's amazing and it's hard to realize that from such a simple gesture of sending an unexpected card, that my clients invite me into their lives. Oh yeah, they also think of me FIRST when it comes to referrals.
It'll happen here too Ed, it's just a matter of time.
