I joined meetup...gosh, I can't remember when--I think that it had just started.

This is on my list of "loser" sites that didn't make the cut and was finally defeated hands down by facebook.

This is just my take on it, however, so don't take my word for it. Real DJs don't really have time to accurately evaluate networking sites. :p

Get events from it? Who cares? I'm already busy doing 250 events/year ON MY OWN! That's why I'm online all the time! :p

I've used it to build new karaoke bar venues, and very successfully. However, if you're not a club guy, I really don't know another use. This forum is great for DJ networking, and the Chamber of Commerce of the local towns is great for business networking....
