I'm learning and teaching myself how to beatmix in VDJ. If you may or may not know I am a new DJ and looking to get some school gigs this year. I'm 16 and have already contacted my highschool about doing charity events for free but also getting a chance to do their dances. I'm also going to be contacting other schools in the area.

Anyway, I use VDJ and am learning to beatmix. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips when it comes to this? I will be playing to teens for the most part, and that's why I want to learn. It seems that many DJs around here don't do this :sqmad: and would really set me apart as well. I am starting to get it, but want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Does anyone have any advice/ tips for me? Any tutorials? Also, I would love to hear some of your samples of beatmixing if you want to share! I want to hear how it should really sound.

Thanks alot!

Stew

Hmm.... Beat mixing takes alot of time... and honestly needs to be learned on vinyl... as for VDJ... There is a sync button on there some where... will automatically match the beats of the track... You can tell by your blue and red wave forms... Computer DJing is making out lives as DJs Very Very easy...

Best bet is to sign up on VDJ's forums....

Head over to www.virtualdj.com there are some great topics over there. Beatmixing takes a lot of practice but it's also a lot of fun.
