Giving thanks has changed.

When I thank someone, it is opening a link and I have to hit the back button twice to get back to the search results. Sometimes it give me "I am not allowed to access this page...

Also, find out anything about the logging in everytime or just about everytime I come to the site?

Thanks,

Karl

Worked for me, too. Maybe you should delete your ODJT cookies and start fresh.

I don't know. I deleted my cookies the other day and that is when I started having the log in problems. Then just yesterday when I thank someone, it just doesn't pop up, it takes me to a new page. SO then I have to hit the back button twice. Who knows.

I will clear cookies again and see what happens.

Don't know what it is then. When I hit thanks it has the little progress bar come up like I am going to a new site. I cleared my cookies again also.

Oh well, I just have to log in all the time and hit the back button more than once. I think I can handle that.

Might want to logout of ODJT and come back in.

It is working for me now.

Still have to log in if I am gone for more than a half hour or so.

Thanks Karl, I just got a report of this Thanks via PM. I did upgrade the thanks system on Saturday which included new files. Have you cleared your cache? Cookies and cache are two different things the cache temporarily stores copies of files from websites in order to serve them faster. Java script files, which is how the thanks system works often aren't checked for new versions. Here's how to clear you cache: http://www.bnl.gov/itd/webapps/browsercache.asp#IE7

As for the login issue, I'm waiting for a response from vBulletin support as I'm at a loss as to what's causing it.

I've updated the cookie settings you might all have to log back in but we'll see if that fixes things.

Thanks,
Dan

I did get a reply from vBulletin support who said the same thing I said it has to be on the users end. I'll post the reply here along with my original query in the morning.

For those that are still having cookie issues we can troubleshoot via PM if you'd like, worse comes to worse we can do remote desktop and I can see what's going on.

After you clear your cookies and log in for the first time after, remember to check the "remember me" box..
