We have Adobe PhotoShop CS2, Adobe PhotoShop Elements 5.0, Fast Stone and a few others that I can't remember off of the top of my head.
But wait! We are getting ready to purchase Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshoplightroom/).
We have had 2 other photographers in this area tell us about their use of it and how easy and flexible it is.
Coreen has taken advantage of the 30 day trial and we both are very impressed with this and the ease of learning how to use it.
There are a lot of neat features and if you're interested, check it out. :)

I have become a big fan of open source (freeware) software. There are a ton of photo editing software options you can choose from that are absolutely FREE. A good place to check them out is at www.cnet.com. Click on digital photography, then editing (I think), then free. HAVE FUN!

LOL, that's one of them that I forgot that we have. We have Picassa also and there are probably a couple others on the other computers.

So far the thing that we've noticed is that we are able to edit pictures much faster and there's a lot of quick fixes right on the spot.
Remember we shoot anywhere from 800-2,000 plus images at each wedding and we go through every single one of them during the edit process.
Personally, I haven't played around with it, but Coreen is very pleased with it so far and since she does the majority of the editing, she's the one that has to be pleased.
Also the free trial is for 30 days which is plenty of time to get used to it.
I'll see if I can get her on in the next day or so and give a review.

Thanks Kirby. That looks cool. I'm still playing with "After Effects" and it's a lot to wrap my fat head around. I'm learning how to do virtual 3D with layers like your see on the History Channel and such. Stuff like this. (http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/virtual_3d_photos/)
I also want to start making all my "Studio" montages in HD since after Feb. everyone will most likely have one.

Dan... I heard about Gimp before... but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what I needed to download and install first... it looked to me like everything was a separate download... or was I looking at the wrong place.....??

It used to be a 2 separate downloads (3 for Win 98/ME) but I believe they've rolled it all into 1 package. Here is a direct download link for the installer: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gimp-win/gimp-2.4.7-i686-setup.exe
That should get you setup:)
